"The fact that this is the first thing you see when coming into our hospital makes my stomach turn and made me want to turn around and go back home," one hospital worker said.
He said Freedom Day on July 19, was a gamble that has since contributed to almost 40,000 hospital admissions and more than 4,000 deaths.
The messages will be there for NHS staff to listen to at their darkest times.
He said the tax increase, which is likely to impact on the young and poorest the most, is “very bad policy and politics”.
