Samir Hussain was left with life-changing injuries from the horrific burns following the attack at a Cineworld.  The 28-year-old still has to wear a face mask 18 months after the attack in Crawley, West Sussex, in August 2015. Michael McPherson, 27, of Tooting Bec, south London, who threw sulphuric acid in Samir's face, previously admitted grievous bodily harm and will be sentenced at a later date. Lee Bates, 26, of Clapham, south west London, who was with McPherson at the time of the attack and punched Samir, admitted common assault and was sentenced today to a two-year conditional discharge at Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
