The Westminster strand of the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse said institutions turned ‘a blind eye’ to allegations over decades.
The inquiry found a disparity between the high number of registered sex offenders and the low number of such orders banning foreign travel being made.
A lawyer representing Rotherham child abuse victims said the PM had “juvenile thinking."
For me it beggars belief that the crime of child sexual abuse could be seen as anything other than serious in any interpretation of the law, yet it seems it is not considered serious when it comes to double jeopardy legislation.
Children must finally have the confidence that if they report abuse their disclosure will not be ignored.
