Thornberry bursts into laughter after Trott claims CPTPP is a ‘huge trade deal’
"The CPTPP is not the answer to leaving the European Union"
"The CPTPP is not the answer to leaving the European Union"
Shadow attorney general Emily Thornberry defended the ad and said the critics of the social media post are ‘wrong’.
"I just don't think this government takes it seriously. I think they think they can just wait it out and the workers will just go back to work."
"How many insects need to be consumed before MPs are held to a code of conduct fit for their position?"
“My heroes are Churchill and Thatcher, hers are Lenin and Corbyn", she said.
Thornberry tweeted: "We've spoken to many other Westminster residents voting Labour today, with this ex Tory Minister or are staying at home."
“Yes, some of them will have penises. I’m not looking up their skirts, I don’t care. What I care about is making sure they’re looked after properly."
Thornberry said the government's response to the party crisis was "pathetic", in a withering broadcast round.
“At the same time as they’re discussing money, they’re discussing a pet project," the shadow attorney general told C4 News.
