The foreign secretary insisted that he would not be "dragged into" questions over the legitimacy of the vote in remarks branded "astonishing" by Sky News anchor Sophy Ridge.
Michael Martin, the Taoiseach, said America’s election was “well organised”, adding that officials were ensuring the integrity of the vote as Joe Biden edged closer to victory.
“What was really striking to me when I arrived was just how many of the people that were there were armed.”
“The best thing for America’s future is for Donald Trump to go to total war over this election to expose all of the fraud, cheating, dead/no longer in state voters, that has been going on for far too long."
The environmental campaigner was mimicking a tweet Mr Trump wrote about her last year.
The city of Virginia Beach said that the papers are clearly sample ballots rather than the real thing - because they lack “bar code markings that area on all official ballots”.
The statement came just hours after Donald Trump laid the ground for delegitimising the election result in his own country.
They also managed to take a pop at 'clown' Boris Johnson as news of a potential vaccine was revealed.
