He also turned his fire directly on Chris Grayling, claiming "anything he touches turns to disaster".
But he is merely the sparkler on a birthday cake of stupid.
The outcome has been described as "peak Grayling" after the minister failed to get elected chair in a rigged vote where his party had a majority and controlled the process.
