The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).

The Brexit Opportunities minister’s post comes just as the US has labelled the EU’s response to the invasion of Ukraine as “historic”, saying the relationship with the bloc is “vital” – but not mentioning a word about Brexit Britain.
“What the European Union has done over the space of a couple of weeks is quite simply remarkable," Antony Blinken said, making no mention of the UK.
"It's monstrous that we're filling in forms," Desmond Swayne, who campaigned for Leave means Leave, said.
"Sadly too many journalists and too many people just don’t want to know," former civil servant Richard Haviland said.
According to data published this week, food-related sectors will lose £150 million because of the agreement, and the overall gain to the UK economy will be of only £12 per person by 2035.
