Michel Barnier: ‘Fuel shortages are direct consequence of Brexit’
The EU's former chief negotiator said the UK is paying the price for choosing to end freedom of movement.
The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).
The EU's former chief negotiator said the UK is paying the price for choosing to end freedom of movement.
The shadow home secretary is bringing back "tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime".
"Do not blame Brussels for our own country's mistakes and do not be angry at us for telling you the truth. Be angry at the chancers who sold you a lie," he said
It comes on the back of a procession of disastrous Brexit news stories.
In 2016, Warburtons' boss said: “Brexit is a very good thing to have happened. We could either continue to be in the European Union and wait for it all to collapse around us, or we could make our own way out of it and crack on as an independent nation. ...
"The driver shortage has resulted in a dependence on agency and particularly foreign drivers that goes beyond what is needed to cope," the report warned.
Halfords recorded a 17-fold rise in the number of jerry cans sold over the weekend.
He also had some advice for the UK Government.
"You've been in power for 11 years & have had 5 years to prepare for Brexit - this is ALL on YOU," wrote one Twitter user.
