Boris Johnson has spoken to Tory 1922 Committee chairman Sir Graham Brady and agreed to stand down.
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is a British politician and writer serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019. He was Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 2016-2018 and Mayor of London 2008-2016. Johnson has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015 and was previously MP for Henley from 2001 to 2008. He has been described as adhering to the ideology of one-nation and national conservatism.

It comes as Mark Logan who resigned as parliamentary private secretary, wrote: 'You're taking the p*ss now. #go' this morning on Twitter.

A slew of resignations has left people questioning how Boris Johnson still has people to fill his Cabinet with.
Mr Johnson met ministers in No 10 on Wednesday, where he was told he has lost the confidence of the Conservative Party and should not continue in office – but refused to listen.
