Yesterday mayor Sadiq Khan declared a ‘major incident’ with at least 1 in 30 people now carrying the virus in the capital.

The Moderna vaccine will not be available for use straight away, with the first doses not expected to arrive until the spring.
Sadiq Khan is asking for the closure of places of worship and for face masks to be worn routinely outside of the home.
Lord Bethell has suggested the number of deaths per day is “set to increase” given the high rates of infections and hospital admissions.

11 months and 78,000 deaths on from the start of the outbreak, parts of the UK will now demand negative tests to enter the country.
