A suspected burglar was stabbed to death and a 78-year-old who lived in the property was arrested

Murder squad detectives have taped off several streets close to where a 78-year-old man was arrested after he apparently challenged a burglar in his home. Several uniformed officers were at the scene in Hither Green in south east London this morning (Weds) but declined to say which home was involved. The 50-yard cordon covers several streets nearby in an area described by residents as "very quiet". Forensics experts were also sweeping the scene for clues this morning, with several officers...

We had the right to enjoy our private religious celebration with Jeremy Corbyn without fear of being recorded

What it feels like when your religious celebration is secretly recorded.  By Clouds Haberberg I came to the Jewdas Seder last night as a completely new face. I’ve been aware of them for a few years now, but it wasn’t until now that I’d gotten around to attending an event. Forty senior academics write to condemn anti-Corbyn bias in media coverage of the antisemitism debate

More than forty senior academics have written to the Guardian to condemn what they see as an anti-Corbyn bias in media coverage of the antisemitism debate. Commenters on Guido Fawkes have been accused of being so racist they create their own language to be antisemitic and get past the algorithms. While the Jewdas organisation that the blog describes as "radical" has a history of...
