Nigel Farage has lashed out at “hoaxers” following speculation that just 21 people attended his first US tour date in Pittsburgh – with six of them part of his own entourage!
Social media users had been sharing an evenbrite link to the “America’s Comeback” tour, encouraging people to register even if they have no interest in what he has to say. Tickets for future events now cost $20 (£14).
The move was inspired by K-pop fans who disrupted Donald Trump’s Tulsa rally last year.
Farage has previously said that the purpose of his tour is to “inspire thousands of activists” in the wake of Joe Biden’s huge election victory.
In a promotional video he said: “Don’t get down, don’t get depressed, don’t get disillusioned, however bad Biden and the Democrats are.
If that wasn’t enough an artists drew a picture of him which has to be seen.

The plan has already got traction on social media, and was then picked up by Charlatans lead singer Tim Burgess, who shared a link to acquire tickets (which were free) and wrote “People are booking free tickets for Nigel Farage’s event and are planning not to show up.
“Please share the link to stop these irresponsible people spoiling a lovely evening.”

And I’d like to point out that if you want to book tickets there’s a maximum of two per customer. So if you need more than that then you will need multiple email accounts.
