Fingers are being pointed, after tents belonging to the homeless were taken away and scrapped in Camden on Friday.
Suella Braverman is officially beyond parody: On Saturday, she confirmed plans to restrict the use of tents amongst the homeless.
The Museum of Homelessness found that 1,286 people died while homeless across the UK in 2021.
"For many it doesn’t mean much. But this photograph says something entirely different," the district mayor said.
Government data shows that 165,000 Londoners will be in temporary accommodation over Christmas.
A new ground-breaking approach has been rolled out to address the root causes of homelessness, such as poor quality, insecure housing.
“For Covid-19’s legacy to be a mass homelessness crisis would be unforgivable," Lord John Bird said.
"What's wrong with that? They're not here buying second homes. Perhaps they resent having to pay ridiculous money grabbing campsites."
