The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).
And yet the same minister insists Brexit “was self-evidently the right thing to do.”
"Speaking of Romania, as an example of a EU country stuck in the Tory travel shambles - for reasons we don’t know about, it has constantly been on the amber list, surely nothing to do with Brexit and wanting to keep eastern Europeans out."
She thinks the original lyrics are “empty” and “vainglorious”: “They don't reflect the true state of affairs in Britain today, a deeply divided, floundering nation, mostly thanks to Brexit.”
The Home Office said those who do not apply after 28 days “may be liable for enforcement action and will not be eligible for work, benefits or services”.
The announcement was made on the five year anniversary from Britain’s vote to leave the European Union.
He said Brexit was supposed to take back control and boost the UK's international position, but we are seeing "pretty much the opposite".
The government said employers should not rely on ‘foreign’ workers and focus on training our domestic work force.
"I can't believe as a life-long Conservative voter, I stand at the moment thinking I would be very, very unlikely to vote Conservative again at the moment," one Brexit-voting farmer bemoaned.
It's five years since the referendum. The country has changed beyond recognition.
