Conservative rebel ringleader says leadership bid is on the cards
A poll of Conservative members suggested nearly half believe Chancellor Rishi Sunak would make a better leader.
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is a British politician and writer serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019. He was Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs 2016-2018 and Mayor of London 2008-2016. Johnson has been Member of Parliament (MP) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015 and was previously MP for Henley from 2001 to 2008. He has been described as adhering to the ideology of one-nation and national conservatism.

The new survey also shows seven in ten have seen their living costs rising more than their household income over the past year, and the trend of living costs rising more than household income is thought to continue throughout this year.
Boris Johnson's ethics adviser has been criticised for not fully investigating the controversy.

The PM told Lord Geidt he had changed numbers and lost incriminating messages with a Tory donor.
