Chris Hopson, chief executive of NHS Providers, has written to Boris Johnson calling for a focus on “data, not just dates” when it comes to the Government’s approach to the route out of lockdown.
“People who flee war-torn countries don’t want sympathy they want an opportunity," he said.
“Ministers admitted this week the NHS needs radical reform to repair ten years of Tory privatisation – the first change they must make is to give staff the pay and protection they need to carry on saving lives.”
Compared to white healthcare workers, a significantly lower proportion of ethnic minority staff members had taken up a vaccine.
“There are around ten people per day dying of Covid. It's a tough time and I can’t afford to pay these charges.”
Terms like “chestfeeding” and “human milk” are being introduced at an NHS trust in a bid to boost inclusivity.
