Vote Leave saw off challenges from Grassroots Out, backed by UKIP leader Nigel Farage. That...

Parliamentary Sketch 13th April – One sours the urine the other takes the piss

By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor The main thing I’ve noticed since the Panama papers were released has been the defensive reaction by various Tory MPs. It appears it’s ok to chase down “low achievers” who have been leeching off the state, but when the shoe is on the other foot, it is a disgrace. The anger shown by some of them during various TV interviews has been comical; show me yours, but I’ll not show you mine appears to be...

Now one in five suicide attacks are now carried out by children, according to the UN’s child agency. This news will sicken people across the world. By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor Please have a read of NHS worker Olaya De la Iglesia open letter to rich Tory MP Alan Duncan who indicated that people who are not millionaires are "low achievers." Open letter to Sir Alan Duncan I heard what you had to say today about achievement and I would like to explain why I disagree in your interpretation of what a high achiever is. I work for the NHS, I have done so since 2003. And...

The prison, in West London, decided that the best they could do is hand the women sleeping bags and tents. This information has come to light following an inspection of the prison. The amount of women who left the prison with accommodation had dropped from 95.5% in...

Huge wait for Ambulances after privatisation

By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor Putting ambulance services into the private sector has descended into a “total shambles,” it has been revealed. An investigation by the NHS is going to be launched into a £63.5 million four year contract after patients have been left waiting for hours for their ambulance to arrive. Patients suffering with cancer and kidney failure were among the hundreds who have missed appointments and treatments when their transport didn’t arrive or arrived far too late. Cancer...

VIDEO – Pro Brexit Tory MEP gives wanker sign

By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor Pro-Brexit Tory MEP leader Syed Kamall responds to Guy Verhofstadt’s calls for further integration...with a wanker sign. Playground politics at its finest. The Conservative MEP has been vocal over his dislike of many aspects of the EU Parliament. He couldn't keep his feelings in check though when Verhofstadt's Belgian MEP spoke as part of a session of Council and Commission statements on Counterterrorism following the recent terrorist attacks. Sadiq Khan leading in the polls and on social media

By Joe Mellor, Deputy Editor The analysis, from social intelligence company Brandwatch, looked at tweets coming from Londoners and shows Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith had a difficult time on Twitter last week while his Labour rival dominated the conversation. While Khan’s larger presence on the social network usually leads to him garnering more mentions, the stories being shared around the candidate were far more positive than many of his competitors. The most shared link within London Mayor related Twitter conversation,...
