A mum-of-four has managed to capture a stunning image – of a ‘FOGBOW’.

Frances Waite, 54, went on a short trip to Oban in Scotland with her husband when she spotted the phenomenon outside her hotel.

Frances, from Kilbirnie, North Ayrshire, rushed out of The Great Western Hotel in Oban, with her camera and managed the capture the magical moment.

Frances said: “We were staying in Oban heading to Mull. It was quite misty and I got out to take a picture and seen the fogbow appearing.

“I had heard of it before but at first I didn’t realise what it was. It is such a cool picture and I’m probably going to get it printed.

“I just thought it was quite different. I was just shocked by it as I did not expect that it would get so much attention.

“My husband liked it even though he’s not into photography. He tends to get fed up with me taking pictures.”

The nursery nurse says she will keep the picture taken on Sunday morning close to her heart.
