Majorca is surprisingly enough not high on most people’s bucket list when it comes to travelling. The reasons for this is still somewhat elusive. If asked, most would say, simply, that they hadn’t really thought about it, but now that it was mentioned, why not. Why not indeed. Majorca geographically belongs to Spain and the native language is Catalan. Its location makes it possible for the island to boast about magnificent weather almost all year around and the friendly locals are welcoming and warm.

Majorca is a fantastic destination if you want to travel somewhere with delicious food, stunning architecture, a rich cultural heritage as well as not spending your entire budget for the month. Majorca is known for its reasonable prices as well as accommodating flight options. If you are looking to make it even more of a budget trip without compromising with either comfort, experience or fun, you should try renting a car and make it a road trip vacation. It is possible to find several Majorca rent a car best deals online that will provide you with a suitable vehicle as well as all the information you will need before travelling. If this is the first time vising the island, perhaps a few suggestions on where to go might also be appreciated.

Finding the best means of transportation

The most comprehensible car rental service on Majorca is Roig. Roig offers fair rental practises and guarantees high standards when it comes to its car rental services. With transparency and clear pricing, including basic insurance, free additional driver, fair fuel policy and 24/7 roadside assistance, you will be well taken care of when renting a car at Roig. The car rental company also offers its customers information on local rules and traffic regulations as well as road safety. Roig will also help you with choosing the right vehicle for the occasion. Meaning that based on your travel itinerary it is possible that you might need a different type of car based on where on the island you will be driving. Will it be mostly in the cites or are you planning on more adventurous driving along the coastline? Roig will also be able to provide you with assistance when it comes to add-ons and comfort. All, depending on how long you will be driving, if you will be needing a GPS or if the standard models are enough. By renting a car at Roig you will have everything you need and you will be able start your Majorca road trip as soon as you land on the island. All you have to think about, is where to go next.

5 cities you must visit when driving around Majorca

Palma de Mallorca – the capital of Majorca is a must for any visit to the island. Make this your home base while exploring other parts of the island. Palma is a magnificent place full of historical sites and buildings. It is also a city packed with good food and delicious treats. Wander around the city centre and take in the magnificent sight for yourself before heading to your next location.

Deiá – the only main street in Deiá is filled with luxury restaurants and beautiful hotels. It is also a city for poets. Winding roads and narrow streets will keep you occupied with their quaintness and make sure to bring your camera. This serene city is made for leisurely strolls and there are plenty of places for you take a breather.

Lluc – this small town is home to what is generally thought to be Majorca’s spiritual heart, a monastery from the 13th century. It is one of the islands most popular tourist destinations and is a magnificent experience. The architecture of the monastery is masterful and it is well worth a visit.

Sóller – visit one of the most beautiful town squares in Majorca with a front-row view of Sant Bartomeu church. Enjoy local delicacies and fragrant coffee before taking a walk about the square.
