Brexit is plunging Wales back into austerity after loss of EU aid
Wales has lost £375m a year in EU economic aid, sparking warnings from ministers of a return to austerity.
The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).

One farm manager said this is because Eastern European workers, who were usually doing the job, had not been available since Brexit.
"Yeah, I mean. Take it from us guys...," Ian Dunt commented.
Some of the most egregious production practices in intensive animal agriculture still exist in Mexico and Brazil, experts have warned.
“My brother-in-law worked as a lorry driver up until this Saturday, he resigned. A lot of my friends who are lorry drivers left the UK as soon as the new Brexit rules came into place.”
Unfortunately, data from the Road Haulage Association seems to point to a different reason for the lack of drivers.
The Home Office has handed removal instructions to EU nationals - even though they could prove they’ve applied for settled status.
Dave Rowntree said "the Blurs of twenty years' times" will be "gone" because of Brexit.
"If British bands cannot make a profit in Europe, there is no plan B. There is no alternative."
