Northern Ireland could become ‘permanent casualty’ of Brexit, peers warn
A House of Lords committee called for compromise in the dispute over the Northern Ireland Protocol.
The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).
A House of Lords committee called for compromise in the dispute over the Northern Ireland Protocol.
"I have been here 12 years and I have never seen this happening. Deliveries came before Brexit," she said.

Several families were wrongly informed by the government's online system that their children would not be admitted to the EU. Meanwhile, the government is still making it difficult for EU citizens and expats to travel to the UK.
