No queue jumping for Brits trying to move to UK with EU spouses and kids
One couple had sold their home in Brussels and are now having to move between Airbnbs with their children because of a Home Office rejection.
The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).

“We’ve already seen the number of people wanting to do their HGV driving test literally fall off a cliff, with only 9,000 being completed in 2019, that was before Brexit and it was well before Covid."
"To be honest, it’s very hard on my son. We tried to make light of it, just saying we are going on vacation, but he misses his father," one British mother whilst being forced apart by Brexit from her French husband.
An additional £600m in costs hit British importers since Brexit came into force, taxes which were not required when Britain was in EU's single market.
It is now "abundantly clear" that the deal struck with the EU was a "terrible deal for Britain", the deputy editor said.
“It’s scary stuff when you consider that British applicants might have sold up in the UK to buy their dream home here, shipped all their furniture and belongings over and their pets - what do they do?” a representative for British immigrants in Spain said.
"There they are EU Berets atop their bobbling heads, waving their little flags - I mean has anyone told them we are out of the EU and it’s all over?" wrote one angry viewer.
"Pointless and byzantine" export rules have resulted in delays to fresh and chilled foods such as sandwiches getting to the shelves.
