A squad of former SAS troops and US ex-special forces are set to go head to head in the ring for charity.

The elite boxing bout – dubbed the Remembrance Rumble – will raise vital charity cash for a host of noble military causes.

The event is the brainchild of former D squadron fighter Big Phil Campion, 48, who took part in Operation Barrass, the SAS raid in Sierra Leone in 2000 to liberate Brit soldiers held by brutal militia gang the West Side Boys.

Our British team have been preparing for the bout by training with former light welterweight champ Ricky Hatton at his £2million Manchester boxing school.

Phil Campion said: “Remembrance Rumble is set to shake the York Hall to its core.

“The ex SAS boxing team has waited all year to get their hands on the American special forces who this year have several new additions to their team.

“This year Ollie Ollerton will be the first operator to go headlong into battle for Queen and country.”

One of the organisers Demi Barnard added: “It’s a fantastic even for a fantastic cause. We held it for the first time last year and we sold out, we raised tens of thousands for charity.
