Almost 800 people have died in one day, with the country having almost 54,000 recorded cases of Covid-19.
The country is now third on the list of those worst hit by Covid-19.

Government scientists said measures could alternate in their severity in order to keep cases at a number the NHS can cope with.
"We need urgent action in the form of universal basic income in order to take care of people."
Italy, with a population of 60 million, has recorded at least 3,405 deaths.
Tory MP Pauline Latham said she reacted hastily at a time when she was stressed and apologised for the tweet.
Scientists said the latest data showed that the previous strategy risked overwhelming the NHS and could lead to 250,000 deaths.
