The Labour MP said the government was aiming to stop his bill despite it having cross-party support.
“You tell great big fat lies, you sell magic bean fantasies. And then when reality stubbornly proves you wrong, you double down even harder."
"I don't think anyone else in the world has ever killed livestock because we haven't been able to deal with it," one farmer said.
"Anyone with an ounce of common sense would know that if you restrict movement, put in trade barriers and generally make hard-working people feel unwelcome, a lot of them will decide they're better off not being here at all."
The PM couldn't resist taking a swipe at the "greenshirts" as the government announced grants of £5,000 to replace gas boilers with low carbon heat pumps.
Neil Hamilton is at least the seventh person to lead UKIP since Nigel Farage stood down from the role in 2016 following the EU referendum.
It echoes a trend in Europe, where recent elections show the pendulum could be swinging back towards the left.
