The former chancellor is the favourite to lead the Tories after ex-PM Boris Johnson dramatically withdrew from the race he never officially entered.
The 'two-month chancellor' said Sunak is "immensely talented" after Johnson confirmed he had pulled out of the leadership race.
Thankfully, Sangita Myska was on hand to set the record straight.
Johnson is believed to have got the support of the 100 MPs required to reserve his place in the vote.
"Where is UK media on this? The former chancellor appears to have conceded last night that Brexit is a significant contributing factor to the present cost of living crisis yet silence."
Prof Graham Medley, a Sage member, said: “Government have the power, so if one member of Cabinet thinks that scientific advice was too ‘empowered’ then it is a criticism of their colleagues rather than the scientists."
The Tory leadership hopeful claimed he had often been a lone voice of resistance to lockdown measures within the Government.
