Kagoule Go Medieval in the Video for ‘Glue’

Nottingham alt-rock trio Kagoule have premiered the new music video for latest single ‘Glue’. The tongue-in-cheek, medieval-themed video sees the band donning an assortment of handmade vintage garments, riding horses, chowing down on banquets and swilling down a goblet of wine or two. ‘Glue’ is taken from Kagoule’s highly-anticipated debut album, 'Urth', which is due for release on August 21st. That'll be a slice of tasty alternative, then.

Live Review – Mogwai

By Kane Power (@ElHeavio) 24.6.15, The Roundhouse, London North London courts were overwhelmed last Thursday as thousands of people filed lawsuits against promoters All Tomorrow’s Parties, after being left partially deafened from a Mogwai concert. Local magistrates are in agreement that most of the cases have no basis, as anyone who still underestimated the Scottish post-rock giants after 20 years on the scene deserves to feel the full brunt of their noise. Mogwai graced The Roundhouse on Wednesday night to...

Formula-E London ePrix: The thrills and the twists

Sport News 24/7 By Noy Shani  @NoyShani  @TLE_Sport This weekend a new champion was born and many more fans were won over as the inaugural season of Formula-E reached its culmination in a thrilling double bill in Battersea Park, London.  The London Economic’s Noy Shani was there to report. I have to admit - I am not a typical motorsport fan.  Watching cars go round, over and over again, was never my thing, but the buzz that was created around the...

Marking the newest and biggest of the ROKA restaurants from Rainer Becker and Arjun Waney, the team behind Zuma. Situated just moments from The Strand and London’s Theatre District, offering a reasonable pre-theatre menu, it’s no wonder that the restaurant has become so popular over the past year. Upon entering on our recent visit, we ended up partaking in a...

How to choose the right estate agent

By Perry Power, property sales specialist at Perry Power Unless you live in a remote area with little competition, it can be difficult to decide which estate agent to use to sell your house. You may lean toward the ‘new kid on the block’ who promises the earth, the one offering the cheapest fees, or an older agency with a long-standing reputation in the area. The decision is even more difficult as a growing number of online estate agencies emerge...

The average price of a beer in the capital is now £2.92 (how much!) making it the 13th costliest city in the World to drink beer and the most expensive in the UK by a long shot. As many of us prepare for our summer vacations, the GoEuro...

TLE insight: Turkey’s Black Sea coast

by Inka Piegsa I was lucky enough to live  in Turkey for four years, but I didn’t stay put in my nice little apartment near Bodrum on Turkey’s Aegean Sea. Of most interest - especially for those wanting to avoid typical tourist traps, is Turkey's Black Sea coast. Contrary to the harsh mountains of Anatolia and the summer heat on the Aegean and Mediterranean Coast, the Black Sea region is green, green and green, full of pastures, flowers, forests, grazing...
