According to official figures knife crime has increased during 2017 in England and Wales. There has been a spike of 22 per cent in crimes involving knives. If that wasn’t bad enough, there was also an 11 per cent rise in firearm offences. When a man on a motorway bridge in Michigan was threatening to jump off, trucks lined up underneath to prevent a suicide attempt. The Michigan State Police came up with the ingenuous plan of calling in passing trucks to pull up and park under the bridge to prevent a fatal fall.
