An EU diplomat has told the UK to “stop dicking around” following news that a second referendum may be on the cards.
Nigel Farage yesterday sparked rumours that the UK may go back to the polls over the decision to leave the EU.
The former UKIP leader said: “I’m reaching the point of thinking that we should have a second referendum on EU membership” on Channel 5’s the Wright Stuff.
But although a second vote could lead to the UK remaining in the EU diplomats in Brussels were less than impressed with the news.
Telegraph correspondent James Crisp spoke to one EU diplomat this morning about prospect of second Brexit referendum.
His response was: “Do what the F*** you want but stop dicking around. We’re moving forward and would appreciate some clarity on the matter”
Charming.

Journalism in Britain is under threat. The government is becoming increasingly authoritarian and our media is run by a handful of billionaires, most of whom reside overseas and all of them have strong political allegiances and financial motivations.
Our mission is to hold the powerful to account. It is vital that free media is allowed to exist to expose hypocrisy, corruption, wrongdoing and abuse of power. But we can't do it without you.
