Neighbours host ‘Coronavirus party’ complete with hazmat suits & ‘Quarantini’ booze

House party lover Alexandra decided to take her passion for themed parties to the next level by throwing a get-together inspired by the recent COVID-19 outbreak.

A group of friends hosted their own Coronavirus-themed party – complete with hazmat suits ‘Quarantini’ drinks and the Pandemic board game.

Alexandra, 31, who didn’t want to reveal her surname, threw a get-together inspired by the recent COVID-19 outbreak, for her husband, 35, and eight neighbours.

She put up ‘caution tape’ on her door and stocked the fridge full of Corona beer for the do on Sunday (8).

The couple and their friends tucked into ‘Coronavirus cupcakes’ and a ‘Case-O’ stew, named after ‘Patient 0’, the first person to be diagnosed.

Environmental worker Alexandra rustled up a batch of ‘Quarantini’ punch and asked each of her guests to pop on shoe covers and a face mask before entering the flat.

She said she wanted to take a “light-hearted” approach to dealing with the outbreak of the virus by throwing the party.

Alexandra from from Jersey City, New Jersey, USA, said: “We love to have fun with themes and we had a great time.

“I came up with the idea last week. We had a great time and were just having a laugh.

“It was light-hearted and we only did it to have a good time.

“We dressed up in hazmat suits, gloves and glasses and played the Pandemic board game.

“We all took on different roles and worked against the board to stop a virus from spreading around the world.”

She added that the group tucked into Mexican tacos and nachos to go with their Corona drinks.

She said the group had no intention of causing offence with the stunt and were only interested in “having a good time”.
