CCTV captured the shocking moment a thief stole a charity donation tin. The woman stole the donations from Spoon World Buffet in Basildon, Essex, at 2.30pm on Saturday, after posing as a customer.
Footage shows the brunette sitting down on a sofa, while waiters and waitresses busy themselves with serving diners. She then fled the scene with the tin, which contained hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research.
Staff worker Shirri Lynn said: ‘I can’t believe some dirty scummy woman came into work and stole our Cancer Research pot that me and Charlotte got to raise money for Muddy Run.
‘She then had the audacity to go next door and steal their tip jar too.
‘Thank god for CCTV.’
Ms Worton has reported the incident to Essex Police who are investigating.
