Seven bags full of cannabis found dumped at the side of the road

Surprised police officers couldn’t believe their luck when seven bulging bin bags full of cannabis were found dumped at the side of the road.

The drugs were found by council officers on the A59 near Harrogate, North Yorks., early on Sunday morning.

PC Amanda Hanusch-Moore from North Yorkshire police tweeted the pictures and said: “Lost something?

“This was found in black bin bags last night on the A59 near Blubberhouses. If it’s yours come and speak to us at Harrogate Police station, we’re more than happy to discuss!”

No arrests have been made since the drugs haul was found.

Witnesses or anyone with information that could assist the investigation are asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101.
