Police have said they are “cheesed off” after receiving an emergency call about an incorrect PIZZA order.

Gloucestershire police said on Twitter: “If your pizza topping is not correct, please do not ring the police on 999 to report it. 999 is for emergency calls. #cheesedoff.”

The report prompted derision on Twitter.

@alexluffrum replied: “Are you serioues!!!?? Wasting police time and resources is still a criminal offence surely? And if so send out a warrant to arrest them.”

This is not the first time Gloucestershire police have been disturbed by such a call.

In July, someone dialled 999 to report an incorrect takeaway order.
