Celebrating World Meat Free Day (Monday 11th June), Linda McCartney’s has collaborated with Dirty Burger to serve a ‘Dirty Vegan’ burger.

First launched in 2015, to raise awareness of the benefits of eating less meat; something that Linda McCartney’s has championed for a number of years, World Meat Free Day is particularly relevant in 2018 – with so many Brits now embracing vegan, vegetarian and flexitarian lifestyles than ever before.

Available for one week only, Dirty Burger’s ‘Dirty Vegan’ burger has been developed by Head Chef Brian McGowan, with the help of Linda McCartney’s. Sandwiched between a vegan brioche bun, the ‘Dirty Vegan’ burger features two layers of popocini pepper relish, lettuce, burnt aubergine and one of Linda McCartney’s famous quarter pounder burgers. The burger is recommended alongside fries and Dirty Burger’s brand new vegan strawberry milkshake.

Speaking on the launch of the ‘Dirty Vegan’, Dirty Burger Head Chef, Brian McGowan, said:

Here at Dirty Burger, we’re really excited about the opportunity to create a great tasting option for our vegetarian and vegan customers. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed developing the Dirty Vegan burger and cannot wait to see the reaction once it launches in store.”

What’s more, for one day only – on World Meat Free Day – Dirty Burger and Linda McCartney’s will serve complimentary ‘Dirty Vegan’ burgers to the first 50 customers to walk through the door at the Shoreditch and Vauxhall sites. Otherwise, the Dirty Vegan will be priced at £7, sold for one week from 11th June.

The Dirty Vegan burger is available at the following Dirty Burger sites from Monday 11th – Sunday 17th June: Tooting, Balham, Wimbledon, Crouch End, St John’s Wood, Whitechapel, Shoreditch and Vauxhall. Further information on Linda McCartney’s can be found here.
