Today see’s the digital release of the debut EP from Copenhagen’s Baby In Vain. An infectious exploration of seductive desert rock, menacing post-punk and cosmic noise-rock, For The Kids is available to download and stream today via Partisan Records and released on vinyl on June 10th.

The release of the EP comes just before Baby In Vain’s a run of dates with The Kills, which includes a show at London’s Village Underground on Wednesday 4th May. They will also play their own London headline date at The Victoria, Dalston on Thursday 5th May.

Impulsive and dangerous, the tracks on the EP mix the bands reality with a playful sense of fantasy. The crawling, synth-laden ‘The Urge’ described as “creepy yet seductive” by Noisey, compares the impulse to cheat on a lover to murder, while ‘Jesus Freaks’ imagines the son of God murdered by gangsters.  The corrosive and climatic ‘Martha’s View’ is backed by equally sinister visuals, as is ‘Muscles’, which see’s the band attending a darkly delicious dinner party.

For The Kids EP is released digitally today on iTunes and all good digital retailers. It is released on limited edition vinyl on June 10th and available to pre-order now:
