Britain braced for Haribo shortage due to Brexit and travel restrictions
Haribo joins a long list of retailers and suppliers struggling with a shortage of lorry drivers, previously coming mostly from Eastern Europe.
The UK is the first and so far only country to have left the EU and Brexit was and is the withdrawal of the United Kingdom (UK) from the European Union (EU) and the European Atomic Energy Community (EAEC or Euratom). The official withdrawal was at 23:00 31 January 2020 GMT (00:00 CET).

It is rumoured that the car manufacturer has been handed £100 million by the government as an incentive to stay in the UK.
Ministers has previously hoped to sign a so-called “memorandum of understanding” by March this year.
