Danny Willett’s brother almost broke Twitter last night with a series of hilarious tweets that documented the dramatic end to the 2016 Augusta Masters.

The author, teacher and self proclaimed “inexperienced father” took to social media during the final stages of the tournament to spur his brother on as he attempted to become only the second Englishman to win the Masters.

At one point it looked as though there was little hope for the Yorkshireman, but a Jordan Spieth meltdown on the 12th hole changed all that.

Spieth is lining up his putt. If I’m quick I can get a beer, go to the toilet, and paint the spare room b4 he hits it.#TheMasters #bbcgolf

The American was well clear after the first nine, but two bogeys and a quadruple-bogey 7 at 12 put Willett in front.

The excitement was all too much for Willett’s brother.

Unbelievable, Jeff. I’m not keeping it together. COOOOOMEEEEE ONNNNNN X#TheMasters #bbcgolf pic.twitter.com/AcE2KrPvvz

Who was quick to shout about his new claim to fame.

After a bottle of bubbly and passion fruit liqueur, the tweets started to get a little emotional.

Before it was back to reality for the teacher.

When I’m too tired to teach a good lesson tomorrow, and some kid spits at me, I’m just gonna smile and say ‘I won Twitter’ *drops mic
