NFL fans are being given the chance to get into the Super Bowl spirit without spending a penny, as a huge two-day fan festival takes over Trafalgar Square this weekend.
NFL Experience London, presented by American Express, will be coming to the capital on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October, with a packed programme of interactive games, live entertainment and plenty of opportunities to get your hands on some NFL memorabilia.
And the best bit? Entry to the whole event is free.
Ahead of the huge game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, the festival will transform Trafalgar Square into an NFL-themed playground.
You can try your hand at NFL skills
The centrepiece of the event will be a mini NFL Flag field installed between the famous Trafalgar Square fountains.
It will host coaching clinics throughout the weekend, alongside appearances from NFL ambassadors, former players, mascots and cheerleaders. There will also be music performances and a live DJ.
If watching the professionals isn’t enough, there will be plenty of opportunities to test your own skills.
The Visit California Play Big in California Kicking Challenge will let visitors take aim at targets on a digital screen, while the Miami Dolphins NFL Flag Grab Challenge will give you 30 seconds to grab as many flags as possible.
Meanwhile, the McCoy’s Crunch Time Cam will see participants attempt a touchdown-style dive into a foam pit – with a digital photo to take home and a free packet of crisps thrown in.
Topps will also be at the event, offering visitors the chance to pick up free NFL Flagship packs.
See the Vince Lombardi Trophy and 60 Super Bowl rings
It’s not all about getting involved, either.
Sports fans will be able to get up close to some seriously impressive NFL memorabilia, including the Vince Lombardi Trophy and a display featuring 60 Super Bowl rings.
There’s also an NFL History Lockers experience, taking visitors through the history of the London Games since they first arrived in the capital in 2007.
And if you’re looking for a photo for the ‘gram, head to the North Terrace where all 32 NFL team helmets will be on display.
Get your NFL makeover
The NFL Glam Studio will offer a selection of free treatments for visitors wanting to embrace the occasion, including tooth gems, express nail art, hair and body stencils, face gems and temporary tattoos.
There’s also the American Express Fan Experience, where visitors can create their own NFL memorabilia and have a go at a series of NFL warm-up drills.
American Express Cardmembers will have access to priority entrance lanes and additional perks, although terms and availability apply.
There’s also a giant NFL art installation
One of the more unusual sights at the festival will be a five-metre NFL ball art installation, created by artist Raj Dhunna in collaboration with Wilson.
It should make for quite the backdrop as Trafalgar Square gets a distinctly American football-themed makeover.

NFL Experience London Presented by American Express is free to attend. All attendees must register via the NFL OnePass app, generating a QR code to be scanned on entry.
