Another day another problem at Newcastle United. The players have now refused to take their walk up shots for TV as a row over bonuses, which has still not been resolved…the season starts in 5 days. The squad have no problem with sky or any other broadcaster, their ire is directed at the board and owners of the club.

Newcastle’s players were involved in a similar dispute with the club a year ago.

The fans are also not happy with the lack of transfer activity and the obvious frustration of Rafa Benitez with the club’s hierarchy. The support for the manager is almost total on Tyneside but patience with the senior business figures at the club has been reached and breached some time ago.

Newcastle United’s players have withdrawn cooperation with the media as part of a dispute with the club over bonuses for the upcoming season. The players refused to give their time for “walk up” shots for TV companies at the training ground today.
