Mr Johnson is also set to snub the first ever election leaders’ debate focusing on the climate crisis which will be broadcast on Channel 4 on Thursday November 28.
The Prime Minister has vowed an inquiry into ‘every manner of prejudice and discrimination’.
The broadcaster said the debate will take place whether or not all the leaders show up.
"Although there was absolutely no intention to mislead, we accept this was a mistake on our part, as it didn’t reflect the full reaction to Boris Johnson’s answer".
