New data shows Tories on course lose ALL ‘Red Wall’ seats

The Tories have done little to convince traditional Labour seats in the north that they're a long-term option for voters.

Blimey, this is bad news for the Tories. A new poll from Survation, commissioned by the 38 Degrees campaign group, has revealed that up to 12 Cabinet members are on course to be ousted as MPs at the next election – with Labour gearing up for a 1997-style landslide.

Devastating figures put Conservatives on a path to oblivion

The data, which is based on 11,000 responses and takes into account the new constituency borders, also has the Conservatives down to lose all 44 ‘Red Wall’ seats they gained in the north of England during the 2019 Election.

Boris Johnson rode into office on the wave of Brexit fatigue, and his vague promises to thrash-out a deal cut through with the electorate. However, a few years down the line, constituencies that turned blue are all likely to make a hasty u-turn in 2024.

According to Survation, Labour are looking at a majority of roughly 190 seats. They are predicted to breach the 400-mark, with the Tories barely scrambling 150 seats for the next Parliament. Such a swing would be devastating for the governing party.

Will the Tories lose their Red Wall seats at the next election

A spokesperson for 38 Degrees has highlighted that the cost of living crisis and the state of the NHS will play a massive part in voting intentions for next year – and those surveyed have the most trust in Keir Starmer and his Labour colleagues to address these issues.

“The country is crying out for change. Our latest poll predicts landslide Labour election victory with 12 cabinet ministers losing their seats. In every single constituency, the cost of living and the state of the NHS were most important to voters.”

“It’s clear that parties who are unconvincing, out of touch or distracted on these issues will suffer at the polls. Voters need real guarantees of action to help those most in need and bring the dual cost of living and NHS crises under control for all of us.” | 38 Degrees
