Donald Trump seemed to brag about how he avoided being killed last year – whilst speaking at a ceremony for murdered political influencer Charlie Kirk.
Kirk, a right-wing influencer and Trump supporter best know for founding Turning Point USA, was fatally shot last month while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University.
At a White House ceremony this week, Trump posthumously awarded Kirk with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
But some have pointed out how at one point during his speech at the event, Trump seemed to insensitively boast about how he avoided being shot.

Referencing the incident last year when he was shot in the ear at a rally in Pennsylvania in an attempted assassination attempt, Trump said: “I made a turn at a good time, I made a turn at a good time.
“I turned to the right. Charlie couldn’t believe it, he said ‘how the hell did you make that turn,’ I said ‘ I don’t know!'”
His comments prompted anger from some online, with one account labelling the comments “insane.”
They wrote: “He’s bragging about not being murdered at a ceremony honouring a guy who was murdered.”
Someone else said: “Nothing says honoring someone else’s life like talking about yourself the whole f***ing time.”
A third sarcastically commented: “The *tasteful* and *dignified* tribute that Charlie deserves.”
Many more hit out at Trump for how insensitive the comments were.
