Brexit worries have caused UK universities to fall in world rankings

The fall-out from the decision to leave the EU has had a knock on effect on higher education in the UK, according to the QS world University Rankings. Uncertainty over immigration rules and access the EU research funding are to be blamed for the drop in rankings. El Salvador offered bribe to fix match against Canada

El Salvador's national football team today claimed that they have been offered a bribe to fix Tuesday's World Cup 2018 qualifying game vs Canada, which they have refused. In a bizarre news conference, team members played an audio recording of the person allegedly offering various incentives. Leinster Rugby have confirmed the appointment of former England head coach Stuart Lancaster into the senior coaching team. Following a disappointing Rugby World Cup 2015, where England as the home nation crashed out in the group stages, this will mark Lancaster's first major position back in the game. Attacks on Gypsies, Travellers and Roma increase since Brexit, say campaigners

There was a surge in attacks on foreign people post-referendum but there are concerns that gypsies, travellers and Roma are not reporting attacks on their community. It is thought they have also suffered a rise in attacks since the referendum, but the community does not trust the police to deal with the incidents.
