An emperor’s gold Rolex is set to become one watchmaker’s most valuable models by selling for more than £1.5 MILLION.  See SWNS story SWROLEX.  The iconic Rolex Reference 6062 is widely considered by the collecting community as being amongst the most desirable Rolexes ever made.  One of three made, this model is known as the “Bao Dai” after its first owner, the 13th and last emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty in Vietnam.  Dair bought the watch himself in Switzerland in 1954 when he was attending the historic Geneva Conference which was seeking peace in Indochina following the Korean War.  The “elusive” Rolex triple calendar with moonphase in yellow gold is one of only three black dial models known to exist with diamond markers.
