Let’s all rejoice it is International Day of Happiness. Nothing like being told you to be happy, to make you, well, very annoyed. The World Happniess Report has been published to coincide with this momentous day. Why make is a Monday? Who is ever happy on a Monday.

Theresa May, today, announced she will be trigger Article 50 on 29th, which will make Brexiteers very happy in UK but the rest of us pretty depressed to be fair.

Well the UK isn’t in top ten away. It has been announced that Norway is actually the place to be, especially today. It edged off it’s neighbour, Denmark, who took the title last time around.

The UK actually came 19th and Trump’s USA 14th. It will be interesting to see where these countries are next time they undertake the survey.

Countries in sub-Saharan Africa and those hit by conflict have predictably low scores. Syria placed 152 of 155 countries – Yemen and South Sudan, which are facing impending famine, came in at 146 and 147.

The report has been published over the past five years, during which the Nordic countries are usually top dogs.
