A giant inflatable balloon of a topless Elon Musk has mysteriously appeared in Times Square in New York City.
The inflatable shows a smiling Musk in a baseball cap with several tattoos on him. This includes the words ‘SpaceX’s Grok makes AI child porn’ on the billionaire’s chest.
Other tattoos on the balloon show the Tesla CEO doing his questionable salute from Donald Trump’s inauguration and one tattoo reading ‘I love ketamine,’ a reference to reports that Musk uses the drug.
Around the inflatable are signs reading ‘SpaceX owns Grok’, ‘Grok makes AI child porn‘ and ‘#StopSpaceXChildNudes.’

CBS News reporter Jared Ochacher said the organisers behind the installation were unknown with workers overseeing the inflatable under strict orders not to reveal anything.
“I asked the people working here questions like, ‘Who hired you?’ and ‘Is it a company or a person behind this?’ but they wouldn’t say anything,” Ochacher said. “They told me they’ve been directed to stand here for the day and hand out flyers like these with similar talking points as the signs, and a QR code that takes you to Grok’s website.”
The inflatable appeared on the eve of SpaceX being listed on the stock market. On Thursday night, the company announced it had raised $75bn in the biggest IPO in history.
Musk was at the centre of controversy earlier this year after Grok, the AI chatbot for X, was accused of producing sexual and nude images of children when asked to by users.
