A teenager is fighting for his life after the latest London knife attack.

Police say the 17-year-old was rushed to hospital after being found with multiple knife injuries in the West Hampstead area of north London last night (TUES).

It comes as a 17-year-old youth was due to appear in court charged with the knife murder of college student Malcolm Mide-Madariola near Clapham South tube station last Friday afternoon.

Malcolm, from Peckham, south east London, was one of five people – three of them teenage boys – to be stabbed to death in just six days in south London. A total of 22 teenagers have been murdered in the capital this year.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said: “The 17-year-old, who was arrested on Monday, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court.

“A second man, aged 18, who was also arrested on suspicion of Malcolm’s murder, has been released on bail until later this month.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to the West Hampstead attack to come forward.

“Officers attended and a 17-year-old boy was discovered with stab injuries.

“Anyone with information that may assist police is asked to call 101.”
