The disgraced former prince Andrew is now reportedly banned from horse riding, over concerns about the look it gives in public, according to royal aides.

The aides have now told him that riding on a horseback on his Sandringham estate would give a “bad look”, while he is under investigation.

“Since his arrest last week he has been ordered not to go horse riding. It’s considered a bad look”, a source told The Sun.

“They don’t think he should be seen grinning and smiling on his horse like he was in Windsor. But it was one of the few things he actually enjoyed doing so what on earth is he going to do with his time?”, the source added.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was also stripped of his gun licence, less than two months ago.

On suspicion of misconduct in public office, he was arrested last week on his 66th birthday.

He remains under police investigation, as he allegedly shared secrets of official visits with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, during his time as trade envoy 2001 and 2011.

Following Thursday’s arrest, police confirmed on Tuesday that they had ended their searches at Andrew’s former Royal Lodge home in Berkshire.

Last week, the government announced it was considering bringing in leglislation to remove Andrew from the royal line of succession.

This move was backed by Commonwealth nations Australia and New Zealand.

At present, Andrew is believed to be staying at Wood Farm, in Sandringham, where his father Prince Phillip lived out his final days.

The former prince has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
