This is the dramatic moment an out-of-control Ford Mondeo smashed head on into a van – after swerving onto the wrong side of the road. Dash cam footage shows the silver car dangerously speed past vehicles at a junction in West Bromwich, West Mids, at 6.30am on April 5.

The reckless manoeuvre caused the car to clip the kerb and career into the opposite lane before ploughing into the van being driven by Jason Dixon. Jason, who was on his way to work, suffered a broken sternum in the crash and posted the video on social media with a warning for drivers to wear their seatbelts.
