A Cornish beach has just set a new world record for the biggest sausage dog walk. Perranporth Beach beat the previous record set by Guinness Book of World Records of 500 dachshunds with a gathering of 601!

Hundreds of sausage dog owners had travelled from all over the UK to the famous Cornish beach open to dogs for part of the year to set the new world record and raise money for charity with the giant sausage dog walk.

The gathering, taking place on Perranporth Beach in Cornwall from midday, was organised by Cornwall Daschund Walkers group, which has 960 members on Facebook.

The dogs gathered on Perranporth Green, next to the beach at midday on Sunday.

The patter of 2,404 tiny feet raised money for dachshunds affected by Intervertebral Disc Disease or IVDD.
