Available until Saturday 28th July, the Las Flores de México menu is available alongside a new cocktail list, featuring a selection of drinks championing a range of rare mezcals and tequilas. The ‘La Casa Azul’ Margarita is served as an aperitif with the tasting menu, named after Frida Kahlo’s Mexico City home, neatly tying in with a major Frida Kahlo exhibition opening at the Victoria & Albert Museum this month – Frida Kahlo: Making Her Self Up.

Featuring lavender syrup, tequila, Nardini Acqua di Cedro, fresh lime juice and “Parfait d’Amour” liqueur, the drink is also relatively simple to recreate at home. Garnish with edible flowers.

Ingredients

40ml of Tequila

20ml of Nardini Acqua di Cedro

20ml of Fresh Lime Juice

10ml of Homemade Lavender syrup (or Monin Lavender Syrup)

A dash of “Parfait d’Amour” Liqueur

Method

Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice cubes, shake vigorously and double strain into a Margarita style coupe.

Garnish with edible flowers.

Further information on Ella Canta can be found here.
